NeuroSuitUp: System Architecture & Validation of a Motor Rehabilitation Wearable Robotics & Serious Game Platform

We are thrilled to announce that the HEROES project, funded by the HFRI – Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation, has achieved a major milestone! Konstantinos Mitsopoulos, Vicky Fiska, Alkinoos Athanasiou, and the entire research team from AUTH’s Medical Physics and Digital Innovation Lab, have published the first journal paper titled “NeuroSuitUp: System Architecture & Validation of a Motor Rehabilitation Wearable Robotics & Serious Game Platform” in the prestigious journal Sensors MDPI.

Congratulations to our very own Konstantinos Mitsopoulos for his incredible accomplishment as the first author of the paper, which has an impact factor of 3.847! This publication represents the remarkable work of the HEROES project. The HEROES project through wearable robotics, brain-machine interaction, the use of a virtual environment, and serious gaming aims to improve the neurorehabilitation outcomes of patients with chronic stroke and motor disability.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the HFRI – Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation and our scientific supervisor, Professor, Panagiotis Bamidis for their invaluable support and guidance throughout this project.

We are excited to continue pushing the boundaries of research and innovation in motor rehabilitation and look forward to sharing more updates with you as our work progresses.

Stay tuned for more exciting news from the project!
